Appearance: Unmistakable. Upperside and underside dark brown with numerous light blue spots and streaks.
Wingspan: 7 cm
Season: All year round in presumably just 1 generation.
Range: Northern NT; along the east coast from Cape York to north-eastern NSW; as a migrant also throughout eastern NSW, the ACT and eastern VIC.
Habitat: Monsoon forest and rainforest.

Notes

This common species can be encountered as a migrant along the entire east coast of Australia. It also occurs across northern parts of the NT from the WA border eastwards. The butterflies are easily identified by their dark brown colour and characteristic pattern of light blue spots and streaks.
